BCBA stands for a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. The Behaviour Analysis Certification Board (BACB) is the professional certification board that oversees the certification process for individuals wanting to become behaviour analysts.
Behaviour analysts practice a systematic approach for influencing socially important behavior through the identification of reliably related environmental variables and the production of behaviour change techniques to apply those findings. The BACB provides a minimum standard to be qualified to practice behaviour analysis.
There are three different levels, including BCBA-D, BCBA and BCaBA. Each level of certification represents a different amount of university and supervised experience.
