At Super Kids Behavioural Consulting, we provide compassionate, evidence-based psychology services for neurodivergent children, including children with autism, ADHD and developmental delays, , and the families who love and support them. Whether you’re seeking guidance as a parent or therapy for your child, our psychologist is here to help.

Psychology for Neurodivergent Children & Teens in Sydney

Autistic and neurodivergent children and adolescents, often experience intense emotions, social struggles, or challenges with emotional regulation. Our therapeutic support is designed to help them feel safe, understood, and confident in who they are.

At Super Kids, we offer tailored psychology sessions focused on:

  • Emotional regulation and coping tools
  • Social development and communication
  • Building self-confidence and self-advocacy
  • Exploring thoughts, feelings, and identity in a safe space

Therapy can be delivered as a stand-alone service or in conjunction with a child’s existing ABA program. While ABA supports behavioural change, psychological therapy focuses on what’s happening internally — helping young people understand themselves and feel equipped to handle life’s challenges.

Sessions may involve one-on-one time with the child, parent-child interactions, or parent-only appointments depending on each family’s needs.

We also offer Psychology Assessments which can include diagnosis and functional assessment appointments.

Psychology Support for Parents

Parenting can be incredibly rewarding — and at times, deeply overwhelming, particularly when raising an autistic child, a child with ADHD, or a young person with developmental differences.

Research shows that parents of neurodivergent children are more likely to experience stress, anxiety, and burnout. Yet support for parents is often left out of the picture. We’re here to change that.

Autism Psychologist, Emily

Our Registered Psychologist, Emily, offers individualised support grounded in evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These sessions help parents and caregivers:

  • Care for their own mental health
  • Build resilience for day-to-day challenges
  • Understand their child’s psychological profile
  • Learn practical, affirming strategies for home and community life

When parents feel empowered, supported, and emotionally grounded, their children benefit too — strengthening the whole family system.

In your first session, your psychologist will take time to understand your story and what matters most to you. Together, you’ll create a plan that may include:

  • Practical strategies and tools for home life
  • Emotional support and stress-reduction techniques
  • Problem-solving what you can change
  • Building cognitive and emotional tools to navigate the things you can’t

Whether you’re parenting an autistic child, a child with ADHD, or a child with other developmental needs, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to do it all on your own.

A Neuro-Affirming, Strengths-Based Approach

At Super Kids, we proudly adopt a neuro-affirming framework that celebrates the strengths and identities of autistic and neurodivergent children. We honour each family’s lived experience and provide support that is:

  • Respectful and affirming
  • Tailored to your goals and values
  • Grounded in compassion and evidence-based care

Our goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where every child and parent feels seen, supported, and safe to be themselves.
